Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bilingual Education Coach to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. in Mississauga East.

This is a part-time position that requires working during after-school and evening hours, with a commitment of at least twice per week (4:00pm - 8:00pm) and Saturday mornings (10:00am - 1:00pm). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level, but up to Grade 12 is preferred.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach, providing personalized instruction and guidance to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • They will be responsible for teaching small groups of students, up to three at a time, and ensuring that each student receives the support and attention they need to succeed.
  • The coach will also be expected to maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's development.

Responsibilities

  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum
