Chief Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced Chief Research Scientist to spearhead our AI research initiatives at Huawei.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the technical roadmap for AI Agent, Embodied AI, and Reasoning enhanced Large Language Models.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on the latest advancements and best practices in AI.
  • Identify new and emerging research areas by collaborating with external and internal experts and provide valuable insights to the company.
  • Effectively manage and allocate research budget and resources.
  • Publish, present, and contribute as a thought leader in the relevant fields.

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in computer science or a related field with a focus on decision making and reasoning, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep understanding of fundamentals and state-of-the-art techniques in foundation models for decision making and reasoning.
  • A track record of translating ideas into research prototypes quickly.
  • Working or collaboration experience at/with industry research labs or technology companies is an asset.
  • Experience in building large-scale machine learning solutions for decision making, planning, reasoning, robotics, or multi-agent systems is an asset.
