Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Providence Health Care, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to seniors in British Columbia.



About the Role


This is a Regular Full-Time opportunity with 8-hour shifts, including days and evenings. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be part of an interdisciplinary care team, supporting residents with complex or unpredictable outcomes.



Key Responsibilities



  • Create a healthy and happy aging environment by providing safe and respectful nursing care to assigned residents
  • Care for residents who are stable in relation to their day-to-day clinical and psychosocial baseline
  • Support residents through medication administration, RAI-MDS assessments, and nursing assessments (e.g., vital signs, physical assessment)
  • Collaborate with RNs about assessment findings that may indicate a change from resident's baseline
  • Be approachable and an effective communicator, hearing concerns from Resident Care Aides
  • Be a valued member of the care team, supporting/partnering with the RN/RPN in the care of residents with complex or unpredictable outcomes
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Graduated from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
  • Registered and in good standing with BCCNM
  • Current CPR certification
