Geriatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Geriatric Care Specialist to join our team at Mackenzie Health. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents with responsive behaviors in their own homes.
In this rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with our Mobile Support Team Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses to provide expertise and assistance with personal care and activities of daily living. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us deliver crisis-intervention services, transitional management between healthcare providers, and ongoing training for residents, families, and clinicians.
The ideal candidate will possess Certification as a Personal Support Worker as per the requirements of the Long Term Care Homes Act and Regulations. Additionally, they should have Current Certificate of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or be willing to obtain it within three months of employment. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are also essential.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience. This compensation reflects the importance we place on attracting and retaining top talent in the field of geriatric care.
