About This Opportunity

Black & McDonald is seeking a skilled Service Plumber to join our Saskatoon, SK team. As a key member of our Service Division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise in plumbing services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform planned maintenance activities on commercial plumbing and heating equipment, including pumps, hot water tanks, water filtration systems, and backflow devices.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Organize, layout, and execute small re-pipe, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects with attention to detail and precision.
  • Complete daily service reports documenting maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities, including service and repair recommendations using B&M mobile service reporting application.
  • Compile accurate labor and material take-offs for work recommendations and materials ordering.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to complete work efficiently, on time, and on budget.

Education and Work Experience Requirements
  • Red Seal Plumbing Trade Qualification or apprentice who can work independently
  • B-Gas Certification (an asset)
  • Cross Connection Control Certification (an asset)
  • A-Gas Certification considered an asset
  • WHIMIS, SCOTT, R&R, Mobile Aerial Platform Training, Fall Protection Training, Confined Space Training considered assets
  • Relevant industry experience required
Skills and Abilities
  • Valid Class 5 SK Driver's License and clean abstract
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Professional demeanor in interactions with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and mobile device applications
