About This Opportunity

Black & McDonald, a leading provider of industrial and commercial services, is seeking an experienced Skilled Commercial Plumber to join our Service Division in Saskatoon, SK. If you are a results-driven professional with a passion for the trade, this position may be the ideal fit.

The Service Technician will be responsible for performing planned maintenance activities on commercial plumbing and heating equipment, including pumps, hot water tanks, water filtration systems, and backflow devices. The successful candidate will also diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems, as well as organize and execute small re-pipe, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.

A key responsibility of the role will be to complete daily service reports documenting maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities, including service and repair recommendations using B&M's mobile service reporting application. Additionally, the candidate will compile accurate labor and material take-offs for work recommendations and materials ordering.

We offer a competitive salary of up to $42.15 per hour, along with a total package of $54 per hour including pension and benefits. To be considered for this opportunity, you will require:

  • A Red Seal Plumbing Trade Qualification or apprenticeship that allows you to work independently
  • B-Gas Certification (a plus)
  • Cross Connection Control Certification (a plus)
  • A-Gas Certification (a plus)
  • WHIMIS, SCOTT, R&R, Mobile Aerial Platform Training, Fall Protection Training, Confined Space Training (considered an asset)

You will also need relevant industry experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills. A Clean Class 5 SK Driver's License and abstract are required, as well as the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
