Job Summary

The Regina Open Door Society (RODS) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Youth Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for developing and implementing programs that support newcomer youth in becoming familiar with their community and establishing supportive social networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate the implementation of youth programs that address the needs of newcomer youth.
  • Build relationships with community organizations to provide programs and services for newcomer youth.
  • Identify and report trends and priorities needed for immigrant youth.
  • Ensure program and services are effective in meeting the needs of all youth, and adhere to RODS objectives.
  • Prepare and submit program reports, including monthly and annual reports.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Social Sciences or Youth Development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience with at-risk youth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and team environment.
Competencies

  • Knowledge of settlement-related issues facing immigrants and refugee youth.
  • Broad knowledge of local community resources that can assist newcomer youth.
