Job Title: Associate / Vice President, Natural Gas Trading

BMO Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Commodities Trading team as an Associate / Vice President, Natural Gas Trading. This role will be responsible for growing market share in Commodities and utilizing knowledge of physical and financial energy markets to price, execute and manage natural gas derivatives for BMO's corporate and investor client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain fundamental models to price and execute natural gas derivatives
  • Manage linear risk and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients
  • Collaborate with the Commodities Team to share market information and solve problems
  • Develop and maintain relationships with product partners across Global Markets to provide/solicit cross-product mandates for new opportunities
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience at a bank, trade shop, market-maker or hedge fund building and maintaining supply/demand models for North American Natural Gas
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience at a bank, trade shop, market-maker or hedge fund managing an active book of Natural Gas linear positions both physical and financial with a focus on North American basis
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including experience presenting internally as well as to clients
  • Expertise in financial computer applications including MS Excel, various programming languages and Bloomberg
