Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team at Orbit Hydraulics (1988) Ltd. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems and equipment. This includes troubleshooting irregularities, fabricating parts, and operating machining tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in hydraulic systems and equipment
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts, including electrical and electronic controls, hydraulic systems, and machining tools
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up using machining tools
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to install machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repair
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to work in a noisy, odorous, and dusty environment
