We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Licensed Server at the City of Mississauga. As a Licensed Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for our guests.
- Take orders and serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process payments and handle customer transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with event set-ups, service, and cleanups.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including inventory control and verification.
- Assist with food and beverage deliveries, sales at concessions, and cleanups.
Requirements
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Previous experience in food and beverage service is an asset.
- Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Emergency First Aid Certificate required or willingness to obtain within 6 months of start date.
- Food Handlers Certificate required or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
- Smart Serve Certificate required or willingness to obtain prior to starting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions
The Licensed Server will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality service.
