Position Summary

As a Registered Care Aide with Northern Health Authority, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our elderly residents in a long-term care setting. In accordance with our established vision and values, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver resident-centred care, performing nursing procedures and resident care duties related to activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide resident care in accordance with established regional and facility policies and procedures
Perform nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
Assist with activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical, and recreational needs
Transport residents and perform clerical duties

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work:
Days, Evenings - 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, 23:00 to 07:00, Rotating

Qualifications:
Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to deal with others effectively
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
Ability to organize work
Ability to operate related equipment
