About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at GOURMET CARLETON PLACE INC. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff
    • Direct and motivate a team of food service staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
    • Monitor and control food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Train and Develop Staff
    • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve staff performance and productivity
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies
    • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize waste
    • Order and manage inventory and supplies to meet business needs
  • Ensure Quality Control
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
    • Identify and address any quality control issues promptly
  • Manage Customer Service
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
    • Work with the management team to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
  • Maintain Records and Reports
    • Keep accurate records of sales, inventory, and staff performance
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to management on key performance indicators
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in a food service management role
