Traffic Signals Technician

The Traffic Signals Technician position is responsible for carrying out preventative and emergency maintenance programs, as well as installing, maintaining, and modifying various electrical systems and traffic control devices.
Key Responsibilities- Perform troubleshooting procedures using specialized electrical test equipment and tools.
- Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Ensure compliance with various acts, regulations, and codes governing electrical work in Manitoba.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Utilize MS Office and other computer programs to manage tasks and data.
- Develop and implement effective organizational and time management strategies.
- Valid Electrician inter-provincial red seal (Journeyman H, HI, HC license) or a Limited Construction Electrician (J license).
- Valid class 5 license, with successful completion of a class 3 license with airbrake endorsement within 12 months.
- Ability to travel throughout Manitoba for up to two weeks at a time, and be on call 24 hours a day for one week on a rotating basis.
- Capacity to work in all weather conditions, wear Personal Protective Equipment, and work on raised platforms up to 15 meters.
- Experience with electrical systems and traffic control devices.
- Knowledge of electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
