We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team at Kitchener Housing Inc. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our city's urban development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Urban Planning: Develop and implement urban planning strategies to promote sustainable and inclusive community development.
- Project Management: Manage complex urban development projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including community groups, developers, and city officials, to ensure effective communication and project success.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures to guide urban development projects and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of planners and urban designers to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Community Outreach: Engage with the community to build support for urban development projects and ensure that community needs are addressed.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to inform urban planning decisions and ensure that projects are aligned with city goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 4-7 years of experience in urban planning or a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Registration: Full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners and Ontario Professional Planners Institute as a Registered Professional Planner.
