Resident Services Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and professional Resident and Family Services Coordinator to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents and their families.
About the Opportunity- Prepare reports, records, and statistics to support resident care and services.
- Participate in team, client, and family meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Collaborate with clients and family members to meet their program expectations and needs.
- Conduct tours of our facilities and interviews prospective clients and/or families to obtain pre-admission information.
- Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge of clients in coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
- Prepare funding requests and reports relating to client needs; maintain client records as required.
- Promote a safety culture by taking every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of employees and all others in the workplace.
- Currently a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse actively registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
- CPR certified.
- Previous experience working in long-term care or with seniors.
- Knowledge of the principles of human behavior and ability to apply problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer literacy skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently (both verbally and in writing).
- Knowledge of available community programs and supports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships with staff, families, clients, and other stakeholders.
