Job Title: Baker

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at The Kingbridge Centre. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough for various baked goods, batters for muffins and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
  • Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer standards.
  • Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
Work Environment:

The Kingbridge Centre is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a physically demanding setting. As a Baker, you will be standing for extended periods and working in a team environment.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
