Job Title: Software Development Co-op

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Co-op to join our team at Cambio Earth Systems. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for developing safety-critical software applications that warn our clients about potential geological hazards and risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop enterprise geohazard management web applications using the React framework and Esri ArcGIS.
  • Integrate features with a cross-platform mobile application developed with Xamarin for offline use in the field.
  • Work on features from beginning to end, refining user stories by gathering requirements from stakeholders, and developing software using best-in-class tools and industry best practices.
  • Be an integral part of the software team, working alongside our more seasoned team members in a collaborative Scrum/Agile environment.
  • Stay curious and keep an open mind for new technologies and ideas.
Requirements:
  • Computer Science or Engineering student in 3rd or 4th year.
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Basic understanding of databases such as MS SQL, MySQL.
  • Self-motivated and a genuine desire to learn new skills.

The base annual equivalent salary for this position will be commensurate with the number of computer science or equivalent work terms completed. Salary is pro-rated for the term of employment.
