Experienced Texture Artist

At Sony Pictures Imageworks, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Texture Artist to join our team. As a key member of our Texture Department, you will be responsible for creating and applying photoreal and/or stylized textures for characters, props, and environments.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with other asset departments to achieve cohesive and high-quality textures.
- Design and create organic and hard surface textures to meet the desired look of our productions.
- Set up complex surface textures and prepare surface files for lighting.
- Meet show deadlines and participate in Dailies, Rounds, and team reviews.
- Interact with Production, Supervisors, Leads, and peers to interpret notes and feedback on assigned tasks.
- Assist with efficient problem-solving and sharing relevant information across the Texture Department.
We are looking for a candidate with exceptional skills and abilities in CG artwork, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in CG or VFX production. Knowledge of applicable software packages, including Mari, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Katana, and Maya, is required. Experience with Mudbox, ZBrush, Substance Designer, and Modo is a plus. Lookdev experience is also a plus.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $45.34 to $65.10/hr. Benefits include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, and standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and location.
