Texture Artist

At Sony Pictures Imageworks, we're seeking a skilled Texture Artist to join our team. As a key member of our Visual Effects department, you'll be responsible for creating and applying photoreal and stylized textures to bring our characters, props, and environments to life.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with other asset departments to design and implement complex surface textures and materials.
- Work closely with the Look Development team to achieve the desired aesthetic for our projects.
- Set up and prep surface files for lighting and rendering.
- Meet show deadlines and participate in Dailies, Rounds, and team reviews.
- Interact with Production, Supervisors, Leads, and peers to interpret notes and feedback on assigned tasks.
- Assist with efficient problem-solving and sharing relevant information across the Texture Department.
- 2+ years of experience in CG artwork and texture creation.
- Proficiency in software packages including Mari, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Katana, and Maya.
- Mudbox, ZBrush, Substance Designer, and Modo experience a plus.
- Lookdev experience is a plus.
- Competitive hourly rate: $26.44 - $53.80.
- Benefits package including healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave.
- Standard increases as applicable.
