Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings. We're seeking a talented Life Safety Service Representative II, Electronic to join our team. In this challenging and rewarding role, you'll be responsible for promoting and selling electronic fire service offerings to customers and end-users within assigned territories and accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire sales process, from uncovering opportunities to closing deals and providing ongoing customer service.
  • Work with sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams to meet customer needs.
  • Assume account representative/account management responsibility, including providing and coordinating services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities using excellent sales, presentation, and closing techniques.
  • Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to promote company product offerings.
  • Conduct building surveys to support estimate development.
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to achieve sales plan objectives.
  • Close sales to meet or exceed sales plan targets.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems related to delivery dates, billings, financing, and other matters.
  • Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact to pursue additional sales.
  • Perform market investigations within assigned territories to develop new applications and provide sales forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales-related activities.

Requirements:

  • Highly self-motivated and success-driven individual.
  • High energy level with a focus on customers and a strong desire to succeed.
  • High degree of self-discipline.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
  • Strong knowledge of the fire alarm industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Computer experience, including familiarity with Word, Excel, and job costing systems.
