What You'll Do

  1. Manage the entire sales process, from uncovering opportunities to closing deals and providing ongoing customer service
  2. Work with sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams to meet customer needs
  3. Assume account representative and account management responsibilities, including provision and coordination of services to ensure customer satisfaction
  4. Identify and qualify opportunities using excellent sales, presentation, and closing techniques
  5. Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to promote company product offerings
  6. Conduct building surveys to support estimate development
  7. Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to achieve sales plan objectives
  8. Close sales to meet or exceed sales plan targets
  9. Investigate and resolve customer problems related to delivery dates, billings, financing, and other matters
  10. Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact to pursue additional sales
  11. Perform market investigations within assigned territories to develop new applications and provide sales forecasting
  12. Maintain accurate and complete records of sales-related activities

What We Look For

Required

Highly self-motivated and success-driven individual with a high energy level and strong desire to succeed

Strong written and oral communication skills, with good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to persuade and close sales

Ability to obtain necessary licenses and certifications required by national, state, and local codes

Strong knowledge of the fire alarm industry and its applications

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering

Experience working with electrical contractors, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and computer experience with Microsoft and Oracle programs
