About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Risk Assessment Specialist to join our dynamic team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our Remediation Program Management team, you will play a critical role in supporting projects related to contaminated site assessments and remediation, following Alberta and federal regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support projects related to contaminated site assessments and remediation, including conducting human health and ecological risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance/quality control measures applicable to the task.
  • Prepare report summaries and critical analysis by applying a wide range of scientific disciplines to human health and ecological risk assessments, environmental impact assessments, and aquatic effects monitoring projects.
  • Assist in the completion of other environmental assessments and planning, including baseline environmental investigations, preliminary site investigations, and detailed site investigations as necessary.
  • Develop internal and external client relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental, toxicology, or biological sciences, or a related field.
  • Eligible for professional registration with relevant professional associations (e.g., APEGA, ASPB, ACPA, AIA).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in conducting human health and ecological risk assessments.
  • Field experience advantageous.
