Job Summary

The Market Assistant Manager is a key member of the leadership team at Sunglass Hut, responsible for driving the store's success. This role works closely with the Market Manager to oversee all daily functions, including selling, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition, and retail excellence.

Main Responsibilities

  • Utilize company tools to deliver sales plans, develop associates, and achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and address performance gaps using reporting tools and business acumen.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to support associate growth and development, creating an inspirational work environment.
  • Acquire talent through networking and recruiting skills, conducting interviews with the Market Manager.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships by maximizing company tools.
  • Consistently execute brand standards.
  • Maintain store merchandising standards, including updates or changes.
  • Stay current on new products using company learning tools.
  • Ensure operational policies and procedures are executed.
  • Communicate brand strategy to the team, including promotions, contests, and incentives.
  • Act as Head of Store when the Market Manager is out of the store.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in every aspect of store operation.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Critical thinking to deliver absolute execution of operational components.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service and/or retail experience.
  • Previous leadership experience of 1+ years.
