At Hub International Canada West ULC (Canada West), we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Insurance Associate to join our team. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and support to our clients. Your primary focus will be on servicing commercial accounts, including assisting producers and marketers with all aspects of account management, meeting client needs, and processing documentation. You will also be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to clients. Additionally, you will be required to contact clients for renewal information, take client calls, and answer questions regarding coverages and quotes. You will work closely with a team of producers and marketers to build long-term relationships with our clients and provide them with tailored solutions to meet their needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist producers and marketers with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
  • Meet existing clients' needs and process documentation
  • Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers
  • Contact clients for renewal information
  • Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages and quotes
  • Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price
  • Update client information as changes occur
  • Answer account-related questions and requests from clients, lawyers, and banks
  • Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment
  • Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
  • Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
