Job Opportunity:

Circle Cardiovascular Imaging Inc. is seeking a highly skilled software R&D engineer/scientist to join their team in the field of medical image processing and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge machine learning-based image processing algorithms
  • Collaborate with a team of software developers to design and develop medical image post-processing software
  • Work closely with regulatory and quality assurance engineers to ensure the development of high-quality software
  • Collaborate with scientific advisors and physicians to develop algorithms that address clinical challenges

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong theoretical foundation in mathematical foundations and evaluation methods of modern machine learning systems and techniques
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
  • Experience with Linux and Windows command line interface
  • Experience with high-dimensional images and geometric data
  • Strong programming skills in C++
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to individuals with diverse backgrounds

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with DICOM images (MR and CT) is considered an asset
  • Peer-reviewed publications in top-tier machine learning or medical image analysis conferences/journals are considered an asset
  • Experience with version control tools and Agile development is considered an asset
  • Experience with QT, OpenGL, and OpenCV is considered an asset
  • Experience in the medical imaging software industry is considered an asset

Educational Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science
