Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Associate in Machine Learning and Computational Catalysis

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher/research associate to join our Green Catalysis Research Group at the University of Calgary. The successful candidate will have a strong background in heterogeneous catalysis and its application in clean energy and environmental control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in computational catalysis and machine learning to develop novel catalyst systems and processes for efficient energy utilization.
- Collaborate with the research group to design and implement experiments to test and validate computational models.
- Develop and maintain computational models and algorithms for catalyst discovery and process optimization.
- Communicate research findings through publications, presentations, and project reports.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
- 5+ years of relevant R&D or work experience in clean energy and environmental control.
- Strong background in catalysis and reaction engineering, with expertise in machine learning and its application in catalyst discovery and process optimization.
- Proficient in ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD), ab initio thermodynamics (AITD) simulations, and artificial intelligence and machine learning in catalysis.
