**Role Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Primary Care Assistant. In this role, you will be working closely with our Primary Health Care Team to provide exceptional customer service to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage client's overall clinical visit, including arranging and managing appointments, schedules, and client records.
  • Perform administrative and team functions, such as site organization and environmental control.
  • Act as the client's key point of contact with their team, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, team members, and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years related healthcare experience.
  • Experience in email and computerized calendars.
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records.
  • High school education, Manitoba standards.
  • Unit Clerk Course and/or Medical Office Assistant Course.
  • Keyboarding speed of 40 wpm.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cultural Safety training.
  • Mental Health First Aid training.

  • Work as part of a team to provide excellent customer service and support to clients.
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage private and confidential information.
  • Plan and organize a heavy workload under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check are conditions of employment.
