About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at BQ INTERNATIONAL LTD. in Regina, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our Solutions & Architecture team, you will be responsible for providing IT solutions to business problems and working closely with our clients to understand their technical and process needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead solution evaluation and technical leadership on PDO projects, acting as the representative for Information Systems.
  2. Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise strategies and focused on business outcomes.
  3. Develop non-functional and technical specifications for solution RFP documents.
  4. Develop proof of concepts and ensure solutions and services are successfully and sustainably delivered into operations.
  5. Contribute to architecture boards and continued improvement of our practice.
  6. Oversee the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions.
  7. Work with project teams to develop conceptual architecture design and provide assistance and mentorship as required.
Requirements
  1. At least 2 years of experience leading commercial-scale IT projects in a Solution Architect role.
  2. Architecture experience including implementing collaboration solutions with O365 services such as SharePoint and OneDrive.
  3. Experience leading and defining roadmap implementation strategy and rollout.
  4. O365 Technical Governance experience including defining and implementing information protection and information governance.
  5. Power Automate and PowerApps experience leading and architecting business process solutions leveraging the Power Platform.
  6. Change management experience leveraging the Microsoft Service Adoption Framework for user adoption.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Canadian federal, provincial, municipal government or similar work experience.
  2. Government of Saskatchewan / Utilities or similar work experience.
Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

The preferred start date is as soon as possible. The initial term for this role will be up to one year, after which we will evaluate our ongoing requirements and potentially extend the term in accordance with the terms and conditions of our Master Services Agreement.

The resource will be required to work and be located on site at our Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm, and the proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra).
