Nominating Committee Role

The Nominating Committee is responsible for ensuring that positions on the Board of Directors, the Judicial Board, and Elections SSMU are adequately filled during the academic year.

Responsibilities:

  • Review applications and select appropriate candidates to fill positions at Elections SSMU, on the Judicial Board, and on the Board of Directors;
  • Be responsible for the distribution of the Society's awards and nominations where another Committee and the Legislative Council is not specifically responsible;
  • Report to the Board of Directors after every meeting.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Member of the Society;
  • Members of the Nominating Committee must be available to meet for a period of 12 months.

Considerations:

  • Experience in student governance;
  • Experience with several clubs, services, events, and projects on campus.

Additional Information:

  • Position type: Volunteer, unpaid;
  • Hours: As required, meetings on an ad-hoc basis;
