We are currently seeking an experienced teacher-tutor to work with our younger students in an enriched Saturday morning/afternoon reading program.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children to read and will be able to work directly with our students as an interactive coach, following the proprietary methodologies and philosophies of Oxford Learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching up to 8 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 3 curriculum

Work Schedule:

Saturdays 10am - 2pm necessary, with additional weekday afternoon sessions from 4:00pm to 8:00 pm. A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred, with opportunities for continued employment beyond.
