Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

TX Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment to perform various tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, and graders to perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Prepare accident reports and secure special attachments to equipment as needed.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to stay in touch with team members.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various locations and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically demanding work conditions and attention to detail are required.
  • Overtime may be required.
