Video Editor Specialist

Extreme Reach is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our creative team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a passion for video editing and post-production, with experience in editing, transcoding, and delivering video and audio content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing: Perform basic video editing tasks, including cutting, trimming, and assembling video footage to create compelling and engaging videos.
  • Post-Production: Assist in the post-production process, including color correction, audio syncing, and adding and adjusting graphics and animations.
  • Content Organization: Maintain a well-organized local and networked video library and ensure all project files are neatly categorized for easy retrieval by others as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure videos meet the company's standards and client specifications.

Application Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects & Photoshop.
  • Basic knowledge of Avid Media Composer & DaVinci Resolve.
  • Understanding of Loudness and Closed Captioning recommended.
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of Dataclay Templater or Comps from Sheets a bonus, but not required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Video Editing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Basic understanding of video codecs, formats, and export settings.
  • Previous video editing experience, either through internships, coursework, or personal projects, is a plus.
