The SickKids Research Institute is seeking a Machine Learning Research Fellow to contribute to our efforts in developing innovative solutions for biomedical discovery. As a member of our research team, you will work closely with experts in ML, chemistry, and biology to design and develop novel ML algorithms for small molecule generation and optimization.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement ML models that can efficiently explore chemical space and identify promising candidates for anti-aging interventions. You will also collaborate with researchers to integrate ML models into existing workflows and pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and maximum impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement novel ML algorithms for small molecule generation and optimization.
  • Collaborate with researchers to integrate ML models into existing workflows and pipelines.
  • Design and develop new ML frameworks and tools for biomedical discovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD in a machine learning-related discipline or a biology-related discipline with a strong computational focus.
  • Publishing track record in top machine learning and/or computational biology conferences and journals.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, demonstrated by completed projects with publicly available repositories.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch.
