Job Summary

eTor Networks is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Installer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports, and determine work assignments.
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, and splice, join, and connect wires.
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of coaxial lines, fibre optics, single lines, and copper.
  • Ability to work at heights, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 hours per week, permanent position.
