About the Role

The Canadian Institute for Health Information is seeking a highly skilled Program Specialist to join our team. As a Program Specialist, you will play a key role in the implementation of our new pan-Canadian organ donation and transplantation data and performance reporting system project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive products and services, including education and training sessions, client support materials, and implementation toolkits.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, including provincial/territorial ministries of health, health policy organizations, and data users.
  • Liaise with CIHI's Client Affair Managers, Legal Services team, and PT representatives to ensure data flow to CanODT.
  • Plan and develop material for internal engagement activities, including Small Talks, Awareness Campaigns, and CIHighway articles.
  • Develop, track, and monitor a jurisdictional implementation dashboard for CanODT.
  • Conduct environmental scans and stakeholder consultations to develop and support capacity building activities.
  • Contribute to updates, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a health science discipline, health administration, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant health system work experience with a particular emphasis on data management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork, and ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Strong writing skills and experience in drafting education materials, briefing notes, communications, and promotional materials.
  • Subject matter expertise or experience supporting data initiatives and change management in a health care setting considered a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of Canada's healthcare system with knowledge about organ donation and transplantation considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to effectively deliver presentations and educational training.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Fluency in English is required, bilingualism in both official languages is an asset.
