Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lead Auditor and Financial Specialist to join our team at Minted Search Group. This role involves leading and managing audit engagements, preparing financial statements, and developing relationships with clients.

About the Role

  • Audit Responsibilities:
    Our Lead Auditor will be responsible for planning, executing, and reviewing audits, including risk assessments, internal control evaluations, and substantive testing.
  • Financial Statement Preparation:
    The ideal candidate will prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Client Interaction:
    This role requires strong communication skills to develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality service and addressing client concerns or inquiries.

Requirements

  • Education:
    A CPA designation is required, with additional certifications or training in audit and accounting considered an asset.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, focusing on audit and assurance services for a range of clients.
  • Skills:
  • Strong technical knowledge of Canadian auditing standards (CAS) and accounting principles (ASPE, IFRS).
  • Ability to manage and execute audits from planning through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting and auditing software (e.g., CaseWare, ProSystem FX) and Microsoft Office Suite.
