We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Paediatric Inpatient Unit at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in paediatric nursing.
- Contribute to a safe and healthy environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Recognized Breast Feeding Course.
- Paediatric physical assessment course.
- At least 1 year of paediatric nursing experience.
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
