Secure Critical Infrastructure with Palitronica Inc.

The increasing reliance on connected electronics in critical infrastructure has created new vulnerabilities that threaten national security. Ransomware attacks on oil pipelines, breaches of control centers, and tampering of factory computer systems are just a few examples of the risks we face. It is imperative that we retrofit critical infrastructure with robust security controls to defend against current and future threats.

At Palitronica Inc., we design and develop cutting-edge hardware and software solutions that revolutionize the way we defend critical infrastructure and key resources. Our team leverages a wide range of technologies, including IoT protocols, cloud services, serverless functions, progressive web applications, big data, and machine learning, to solve some of the most complex problems facing national security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement electronic circuits and circuit boards.
  • Develop firmware and/or FPGA models for electronic boards.
  • Determine and execute procedures for certifications of electronics.
  • Manage both electronic and mechanical aspects of system assembly.
  • Effectively manage design cycles with third-party suppliers.
  • Plan and follow timelines and goals for multiple projects.
  • Manage mentoring, knowledge sharing, and team empowerment.
  • Self-motivate and set high standards of performance while driving for results.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a hardware leadership role.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in building production-scale electronics.
  • Solid background in RF, transmission lines, and general EM theory.
  • Solid skills in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit and PCB design.
  • Strong skills in signal processing, preferably including digital signal processing.
  • Extensive experience with EM simulations for PCB design and EMI/EMC assessment.
  • Familiarity with the EMC compliance/certification process.
  • Familiarity with analog and digital measurement equipment.
  • Experience with KiCad for design and simulation is a plus.
  • Digital hardware design skills, for both FPGA and microcontrollers, are a plus.
