About the Role

RocMar Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient removal of hazardous materials from buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Surveys and Inspections: Conduct thorough field surveys and inspections to identify potential environmental hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Hazardous Material Removal: Safely remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, lead, and other hazardous materials from buildings, adhering to strict regulations and protocols.
  • Certification and Compliance: Maintain certification by a provincial or territorial association and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, to support project coordination and data analysis.
  • Transportation and Travel: Possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle, with a focus on safe and efficient transportation of personnel and equipment.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and maintaining attention to detail in a variety of weather conditions.
