Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician - Environmental Pre-processing

Bureau Veritas Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician - Environmental Pre-processing to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing general support in the pre-processing of samples and performing certain analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • General lab support including sort and distribute, pre-processing of samples, weighing and analysis.
  • Ensure that cross contamination/labeling between samples and other materials does not occur.
  • Use summary reports to plan and organize work.
  • Prioritize jobs according to Rush and client specific deadlines.
  • Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow SAIL and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Keep their work area clean, neat and organized.
  • Provide support to other members of the section.
  • Retrieve samples required for reworks or customer/ lab requests.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.
Requirements:
  • You possess a College Diploma.
  • You have basic computer skills.
  • You have a positive outlook with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You possess good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills.
  • You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are detail-oriented and possess record keeping skills.
  • You learn quickly.
  • You are able to adapt to a changing environment.
  • You are able to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
