GHD is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Contaminated Assessment and Remediation (CAR) team in Edmonton, AB. As a Project Director/Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a sustainable future for our communities and the world we live in.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with industry networks and clients.
  • Ensuring the team is functioning to deliver an enhanced client experience.
  • Leading the growth and management of your team in line with GHD's core values.
  • Developing, coaching, and mentoring team members.
  • Scheduling and managing workload for the team.
  • Retaining a safe working environment and culture within the team.
  • Building effective relationships with other leaders, client relationship managers, and key personnel.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Professional Engineer, Professional Geoscientist, or Environmental Scientist designation.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience, plus 5 years' leading environmental teams.
  • Post-graduate degree and/or PMP designations are assets.
  • Experience with corporate strategic planning initiatives and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategies.
  • Strong technical authority in contaminated sites assessment and remediation.
  • Strong business acuity and commercial skills.
  • Agile self-starter with a proactive, strategic, and creative approach.
  • Exceptional client engagement and relationship skills.
