Housekeeping Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Safely use specified disinfecting agents to maintain a clean environment for residents and staff.
  • Assistance: Provide professional support to residents with patience and understanding.
  • Housekeeping: Perform tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
  • Adherence: Comply with company policies and procedures for infection prevention, quality assurance, and safety.
  • Reporting: Notify Manager of any damages, deficiencies, or concerns.
  • Training and Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, attend in-service education programs, and complete mandatory education as assigned.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with other departments on tasks such as transferring residents, moving, and ordering supplies.

Requirements:

  • Communication: Ability to read and write English, and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Physical Demands: Comfortable moving furniture, handling heavy items, and exposure to wet floors.
  • Ability and Attendance: Mentally and physically able to perform duties, maintain regular attendance, and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Quality Care: Demonstrate concern for providing quality care and service to residents.
  • Safety: Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Criminal Reference: Provide a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
