Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Attendant to join our team at GUAC MEXI GRILL. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Load buspans and trays with dishes, glassware, and flatware for washing and storage.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Scour pots and pans to remove food residue and maintain their condition.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Package take-out food for our customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Portion and wrap foods to meet our high standards of presentation and quality.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet our customers' needs.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile and a positive attitude.
  • Take customers' orders accurately and efficiently to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and responsibly to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to prepare them for cooking.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week.
  • Permanent position.
  • English language required.
