Job Title: Business Systems Analyst - Life Insurance Domain Expert

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Web Services team at IVARI. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for utilizing your life insurance domain knowledge and analytical skills to understand business needs and elicit, analyze, document, and communicate business and system requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop business requirement documentation, system design specification, use cases, mockup web screen designs, and workflow diagrams.
* Organize information gathered from multiple sources and present it in a manner that business stakeholders can review and approve.
* Act as a subject matter expert on applications supported and liaise between the team and business stakeholders for functionality enhancements and new developments.
* Conduct required analysis to arrive at solutions through the use of JAD sessions and/or related research gathering processes.
* Engage in the development and execution of testing plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
* Work with web developers to ensure adequate tracking on key website features, provide web analytics dashboards on website engagement and performance, and identify key insights and opportunities for website enhancements.
* Provide implementation support, production support, and problem resolution for application systems and associated test environments.
* Contribute to the overall analysis, scoping, estimating, and planning for projects.

Requirements:

* Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
* 2+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent.
* Knowledge in Canadian Life insurance sector. LOMA certification is an asset.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of management, business, IT, and vendor resources.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Fundamental knowledge of website structure, design, web analytics, and web accessibility.
* Experience with SQL, HTML, XML, and JSON.
* General understanding of the best practices involved with user-experience (UX) design.
* Knowledgeable in data-driven analysis or data mapping or design flow practices.
* Ability to facilitate business meetings and JAD sessions at all levels of the organization.
* Sound knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (Agile).
* Good ability to work independently and collaboratively in larger groups.
* Ability to create clear documentation and explain complex process flows.
* Ability to create work breakdown structures and estimations.
