Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Groundskeeper and Maintenance Helper to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our properties, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, minor electrical work, and carpentry.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address potential issues.
- Assist with moving, lifting, and placing heavy objects, and operate various machinery and equipment.
- Respond to guest requests and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior work experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally heavier objects with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
