As a Procurement Specialist at Sunrise Farms, your primary responsibility will be to source high-quality ingredients and packaging materials while meeting production schedule requirements. Your secondary focus will be on managing Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies required by our operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine daily, weekly, and monthly usage of ingredients and packaging supplies using the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to create accurate purchase orders.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, maintaining clarity, accuracy, and completeness throughout the accounts payable process.
  • Monitor, control, analyze, and optimize inventory and consumption of supplies through existing vendor relationships.
  • Resolve delivery timing conflicts and expedite orders to ensure timely shipping and delivery.
  • Collaborate with production stakeholders to update committed shipments and ETA's within the direct team and shared stakeholders.
  • Support inventory logistics management as needed, communicating updates on usage, damage, launch, and in-process relaunch activities.
  • Provide regular updates to plant leadership and management on backorders, aging reports, and liabilities.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Supply Chain or Business is highly desirable but not required.
  • Completion or enrollment in Supply Chain Management courses would be an asset.
  • Previous Purchasing experience is strongly desired.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agility to react quickly to troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $60,000 and $90,000, depending on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset.
