About the Job

Hawk Drywall Inc is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Compound Application: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Plastering: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a durable and attractive surface.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Task Completion: Complete tasks such as cutting and installing metal corner beads, filling joints and holes, and finishing corners and angles.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying locations. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, and will work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including construction sites and offices.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
