Technical Animation Director

At Invoke Studios, we're passionate about creating immersive gaming experiences that captivate audiences worldwide. As a Technical Animation Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the visual narrative of our upcoming AAA multiplayer game, set in the universe of D&D.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with game leadership to develop the overall vision and determine technical feasibility.
  • Evaluate the game's vision, design, and technical needs, identifying risks and mitigation plans.
  • Work closely with programmers to assess existing animation and rigging tools, designing custom ones to improve pipelines when necessary.
  • Support animators, game designers, and riggers with their technical needs, providing informative and constructive explanations of risks, blockers, and technical validations.
  • Train team members on tools and techniques, raising awareness of new processes and resolving complex escalated issues.
  • Responsible for performance metrics related to animation, evaluating, designing, and developing pipelines for the animation team and other departments.
  • Support technical development across all animation-driven systems, including gameplay, cinematics, and in-game events.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as an Animation Technical Director on AAA titles.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach with a constant appetite for new knowledge and experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English.
