Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Coach Mechanic to join our team at K I D TRAILER & EQUIPMENT. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of commercial transport vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Inspect motor in operation
  • Review work orders
  • Road test motor vehicles
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and manual dexterity. You will be working in a garage or workshop setting, and will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots.
