We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion System Battery Management System Specialist to join our team at Abacus Service Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and release of our Propulsion System Client EoL Engineer.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and verify client calibrations to ensure optimal performance of the Propulsion System.
- Perform battery EOL testing and troubleshoot issues to resolve problems efficiently.
- Support problem-solving activities by analyzing EOL data using Vector CAN tools, INCA, or plant tester diagnostic tools.
- Aid in the authoring of EOL tester change requests and establish clean points as needed.
- Document new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned with guidance from Client engineering.
- Support vehicle triage and systems-level troubleshooting of the battery pack on the vehicle assembly line and in the field.
- Analyze functional models to root cause and document controls and SW issues blocking calibration progress.
- Work closely with the center of competency to review issues with functional area, integration, and follow guidance for calibration best practice and methodology.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with manufacturing experience or equivalent education in manufacturing principles.
- Combination of business focus, analytical, and problem-solving skills to quickly define solutions within a specific application.
- Experience with data acquisition and proficiency in using development diagnostic tools and data acquisition tools: INCA, Vector tools: CANalyzer.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team and with a proactive attitude.
- Proficiency with application engineering principles.
- Process-oriented and high attention to detail.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- English: Advanced.
- Electrical Engineering degree.
- High Voltage Battery or High Voltage powertrain experience.
- Experience with Electronic System-level troubleshooting and embedded controls/complex function root cause analysis.
- Understanding of diagnostics fundamentals.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on use of INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other Electrical root cause tools.
- Onsite ARDC.
- Driving a Stellantis vehicle is required.
- Occasional travel to the US for meetings/training (1-2 times per month).
